Position Summary:
The APD Regional Security Director is an integral part of LS&Co’s worldwide security and brand protection teams. The Director maintains security across all regional business units, and helps executes LS&Co’s global anti-counterfeiting strategies in Asia Pacific.

The APD Regional Security Director’s primary focus is to respond to, and reduce, corporate security risks in Asia Pacific. The Director serves as the principal contact in Asia Pacific for security analysis, travel safety, executive personnel protection, and a broad range of investigative matters, including diversion and counterfeit investigations. The APD Regional Security Director provides leadership to all security professionals, contract consultants, security and brand protection coordinators that are employed by the company in Asia Pacific. The APD Regional Security Director will report directly to the VP of Worldwide Security, and work in close coordination with the Chief Counsel Intellectual Property and Global Anti-Counterfeiting Director on brand protection matters.

This position is based at our Asia Pacific Head Office in Singapore.

Responsibilities:
--Develop security procedures and programs to prevent, detect, and react to known or suspected cases of criminal activity or unethical business conduct violating the Company’s Worldwide Code of Business Conduct.
--Manage or conduct complex and sensitive investigations regarding employee impropriety, criminal activity impacting the company, ethical allegations, violations of corporate policy and non-financial due diligence.
--Oversee office site security operations to ensure to ensure protection of executives, managers and employees, physical assets and proprietary information, while ensuring optimal use of personnel, equipment and budget.
--Research and deploy state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard company assets in compliance with Worldwide Security guidelines.
--Lead the continuous risk assessment of threats against personnel and assets, identifying areas of vulnerability (including personnel, property and operations, proprietary information and reputation) to include strategies for mitigating the potential impact of an emergency incident.
--Develop and conduct security awareness training programs for employees.
--Participate and manage security function emergency incident response exercise and events, and lead the APD Emergency Operating Committee.
--In partnership with Business Continuity, further develop and implement disaster recovery and contingency plans necessary to ensure the adequacy of the security related components as part of the region’s Emergency Operating programs.
--Manage an executive and expatriate family protection program for the region.
--Develop and maintain working relationships with law enforcement and intelligence agencies, government regulatory agencies, and private industry security counterparts.
--Development and reporting of metrics and measurements on the effectiveness of the regional security program.
--Propose anti-counterfeiting and anti-diversion actions, including investigations, raids, seizures, and press/media releases, for review by the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Director.
--Train and manage local country brand protection coordinators on product authentication, enforcement training, investigations, raid, seizure, and reporting procedures.
--Collaborate with local Customs officials to seize imports/exports of counterfeit LS&Co products.
--Organize and provide anti-counterfeiting training sessions for Customs, judicial, and enforcement officials across Asia.
--Partner with LS&Co’s Global Supply Organization to minimize risk of product and sundry leakage in supply chain.
--Establish relationships with local anti-counterfeiting coalitions, brand owner organizations, and government agencies.
--Initiate and ensure that diversion and counterfeit investigations are carried out in compliance with highest professional and ethical standards and local laws.
--Execute approved raids with local investigators, outside counsel and government officials.
--Liaise with outside counsel on civil and criminal counterfeit actions.
--Ensure accurate records of APD anti-counterfeiting actions are maintained in internal Legal Department databases.
--Review and approve vendor invoices in Legal Department’s Serengeti e-billing system.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification; at least 12-15 years of combined experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public service or private sector corporate security organization; must have demonstrated multi-country security experience; Fluency in English, Asian language a plus.
