Job Description
Unity’s plans for expansion in central Iraq market will call for the creation of a new regional management position solely for the development, implementation and management of business in that region. Unity’s investment in resources requires the appointment of a seasoned manager,
experienced both in the region and with primary client targets in the central oil and gas (O&G) sector. The appointment will require the successful candidate to function independently with sound judgement in relation to forward planning and committal of resources. The Regional Manager Central must possess strong written and spoken skills and be comfortable presenting concepts, proposals and plans in a corporate environment.

Key responsibilities
Linking back to the Iraq Country Director and integrating with the Dubai regional HQ, implement business wide systems, processes and procedures designed to ensure cost effective, operationally viable delivery of security services across all business entities.
Ensure compliance across the central region business with relevant applicable regulations and necessary documentation.
Ensure central regional projects are managed in accordance with operational budgetary requirements, including conduction regular visits to each Unity location around central Iraq.
Work with the Country Director and AMEA team to lead the central region level business development.
Develop fully budgeted business case options with the Country Director as required.
Conduct contract audits and reports including financial performance reports.
Conduct Quality Control and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management audits and report findings to Country Director.
Collaborate with and support the Country Director in design of suitable infrastructure for all central region entities.
Work with all areas if the business to implement project mobilisation plans and be prepared to visit all central region sites to assist with surge mobilisation requirements as applicable.
Act as Contract Manager for select regional contracts.
Act as central region in-country sales focal point.
Prepare proposals and commercial submissions
Work with the Senior Management Team in the design and delivery of individual, project and business wide programmes in order to meet contractual needs identifies as a result of audits.
Any other duties required by the Country Director.

Qualifications
Minimum year 12 GCSE equivalent in English and at least one other subject area (or military equivalent)
Under Graduate Certificate or degree in Business highly desirable or three years experience in General Manager role (or equivalent)
Service Command Course or equivalent

Experience
Essential
Proven business acumen in demanding environments under time critical / uncertain situations
Client facing skills including experience in preparing proposals and submissions
Exceptional written skills – particularly in time critical situations
Minimum of five years private security experience
Experience of working in hostile environments
Project management experience including budget and cost control responsibilities

Desirable
Close Protection qualified
Commercial field experience in Private Security in Iraq
Profit and Loss responsibilities
Health and Safety qualification
Recognised quality assurance qualification .
