Description
Manages and directs the operations of the Corporate Security Department and all Physical Security at the Bank. Investigates internal and external incidents such as bank robberies, check fraud, ATM/EFT fraud, and other fraud schemes to facilitate asset recovery and prosecution of offenders. Ensures the physical security needs of all facilities are met by reviewing physical security assessments and making recommendations. Safeguards the infrastructure and normal business processes of the company to protect physical and financial assets as well as the safety of employees and customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Corporate Security Investigations:
Interviews customers, employees, and witnesses during an investigation.
Prepares investigative reports for management and law enforcement as needed
Testifies in court as required
Works with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and general counsel to establish an ongoing relationship.
Ensures law enforcement complaints are filed to facilitate recovery of company assets
Attends professional seminars and meetings dealing with topics affecting the business or investigation group.
Manages the overall Physical Security/Anti-Bank Fraud new hire program.

Physical Security Unit:
Supervises physical security inspections of all branches and facilities to include: vaults, alarms, cameras and surveillance systems, data security, and interior and exterior physical security.
Reviews investigative surveillance video for company investigations and law enforcement.
Conducts and reviews background checks and fingerprint reports for new hires
Responds to nearby branches as needed
Supervises all security guards at the corporate center and at the branches
Approves vendor invoices and expense reports

Must possess strong communication skills both verbal and written.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Training associates on criminal issues and related matters

Performs administrative duties including weekly reports, crime analysis to identify trends is necessary and completes other administrative functions as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Manager is assigned managerial responsibilities for the Physical Security Unit.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience investigating bank-related crimes such as bank robberies, check fraud and other bank-related fraud schemes. Must also have experience in managing the physical security needs of a financial institution. Some supervisory experience is required. Law enforcement experience helpful.
