The Government Facilities -NCR business line of the Critical Infrastructure Business Unit within NSGB specializes in providing training, exercises, planning and other operational services to both Government and commercial clients throughout the United States. Critical Infrastructure is currently seeking a Protection Operations Specialist II located in Washington, DC.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position applies introductory protection, security, and emergency response support knowledge across client programs and equities to facilitate the development, implementation, and/or operations of a comprehensive defense management program consisting of preparedness, prevention, mitigation, response, and recovery and/or its components. This position works under the direction and supervision of the manager with some latitude for independent action and/or decision.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the development, implementation, and/or operations of client protection programs.
Completes research tasks in support of operational defense protection projects/tasks.
May assist in policy, program, and/or plan development.
May assist in coordinating with Federal, State, Tribal, Regional, Local, Service, and/or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in support of clients.
May assist in developing, conducting, and/or report development of all-hazard, threat, vulnerability, consequence, and/or response capability assessments.
May assist in the development and/or review of readiness evaluation tasks, conditions, standards, measures, and/or criteria.
May assist in the development and/or execution of training, exercise, and/or readiness evaluation tasks.
May assist in protection operations in support of client, to include, but not limited to, Incident Command Post, Mobile Command Post, Operations Center, Dispatch Center, Joint Information Center, Family Assistance Center, Joint Field Office, and/or Joint Task Force activities.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Bachelors Degree with 2 to 4 years of experience with protection preparedness, continuity, and contingency planning.
Must demonstrate basic writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge required of Microsoft Office products (MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Capable of traveling up to 10% inside of the United States with potential for foreign travel
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Associate Emergency Manager (AEM), Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), FEMA Professional Development Series, HSEEP training preferred.
Working knowledge of MS Visio preferred.
