CARE is currently seeking a Learning Tour
Operations and Risk Manager, which serves as
a Close Protection/Personal Security professional
for high profile delegations visiting various
developing and high risk countries. The Learning
Tour Operations and Risk Manager will provide
direct technical, management, and operational
support to the Learning Tours program. The
position will be responsible for completing risk
assessments and developing detailed safety,
security and contingency plans for all learning
tour trips and act in crisis during a learning tour.
This position would report to the Director of
Security (CSU), but be part of a larger operational
team that consists of staff within the Policy and
Advocacy Unit (PAU) and external vendors. The
PAU team is planning on at least three Learning
Tours a year to various countries and, in addition,
offers day trips for policymakers on official travel
throughout the year. The PAU team would need
country and regional assessments, contingency
plans, and lead staff safety and security on both
advance and actual trips.
