- Provides for the welfare, physical protection and security of a protectee, who is normally a General Motors Executive by performing armed and unarmed executive protection assignments as required.
- Travels to specific sites to perform advance security surveys and executive protection assignments as required.
- Prepares Advance Security Survey reports and other written documents as needed.
- Performs test audits of General Motors sites and General Motors functions to ensure compliance with post orders, common best practices and corporate policies and procedures.
- Coordinates record maintenance and correspondence for General Motors and the supplier’s Executive Protection Personnel.
- Coordinates and conducts armed and unarmed executive protection assignments with the supplier and General Motors Global Security sections to ensure that designated executives are provided with a safe and secure environment in compliance with General Motors and the supplier’s policy guidelines.
- Conducts electronic countermeasure sweeps and required physical inspections to ensure that facilities are free of unauthorized electronic devices. Makes recommendations for procedural or corrective actions as required.


- Serves as liaison with internal and external General Motors, office staff and the public. Requires tact, leadership, maturity and discretion in dealing with a diverse group of personnel at all levels within General Motors Senior Management.
- At the direction of the Manager or Senior Specialist of Executive Protection, assists in resolving personnel problems and guides in the corrective actions of employees.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Promotes consistent and enthusiastic focus on General Motors service to General Motors.

Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience. Any deviations from the minimum educational requirement must meet the approval of General Motors Global Security.
- 3 years of progressively responsible experience in security or related industry or business required, 5 years preferred.
- Excellent planning, organization and leadership/management skills.
- Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to use good judgment and act in a decisive manner in emergency situations.
- Ability to obtain multiple state investigator’s licenses and CPR/First Aid Certifications.
- Excellent multi-level verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to handle a variety of firearms safely and proficiently.
- Ability to successfully complete, on a quarterly basis, a designated firearms qualification course.
- One-year experience, successfully completing all requirements as an EP Specialist.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team leader.
- Strong General Motors service and quality orientation.
- Must satisfactorily complete required Executive Protection Training.
- Must be able to proficiently handle firearms and successfully qualify on an approved firearms shooting program.
