Job Description
American Systems is currently seeking former Government Background Investigators for a Part Time Opportunity in Mexico City , Mexico . This position supports the Criminal Justice Support Program through the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement.

Duties and Responsibilities
The trainers shall be responsible for project implementation and actually conducting the training and reporting results of training given.

Instructors will assist INL Mexico City with the following :
• Build and expand new and existing relationships with GOM agencies in order to lay the foundation for future or follow-up training.
• Develop investigative strategies.
• Create specific guidelines for investigations and re-investigations of personnel.

• Provide guidelines for the interpretation of Credit / Bank records and identifying potential risks.
• Provide guidelines on how to utilize new hire and current employees’ personnel forms to establish rapport and potential interviewing / interrogation themes.
• Provide videos and other examples of well-established interviewing techniques.
• Provide guidelines for case management and supervisors’ case review and establish realistic suspense dates.
• Provide guidelines on developing interview questions that are not open ended and that will solicit accurate information.
• Provide training to develop the skills necessary to recognize and identify physical behavior, which suggests an individual is not be- ing forthright during interview.
• Provide guidelines on how to accurately document an interview in order to avoid issues during the adjudication process.
• Provide training and direction on how to develop sources of information and potential information networks.
• Provide training overviews of social networks and how they can be utilized in an investigation.
• Provide training for guidelines on collecting raw intelligence / information and developing investigative leads.
• Provide an overview of the adjudication process and what deciding officials need in order to render a decision.es

The Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) continues to provide support to the GOM through the Merida Initiative to strengthen skills, competencies and abilities of the Mexican police force at the federal, state and local levels.


Job Requirements
Required Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification is required or must be obtained prior to employment

Required Experience:
*Five (5) years of experience as a background investigator conducting federal investigations of U.S. Government Personnel that require a security clearance.
*Two (2) years of the five years should include time as an instructor in the area of background training programs.
