Corporate Security Director

The Purpose of the Director, Corporate Security is to provide security guidance and assistance to business partners and management for protection of corporate assets including facilities, personnel, proprietary information, crisis management and material resources. Develops objectives, policies, and programs and conducts and/or directs the effectiveness of such programs. Directs Corporate Security and Compliance inquiries and investigations.

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:
Physical Security, Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Physical Security Center of Excellence. Serve as lead Security intrface with contract physical security providers. Establish and maintain robust business relationships to ensure complete understanding of business processes to enable the delivery of viable security responses to reduce risk. Maintain knowledge of complex industry trends and emerging security risks. Provide management briefings on security risks that
could impact company business. Supervise two Security Managers with New Jersey site responsibilities. Investigations: Conduct and supervise Corporate Security investigations, with the utmost discretion, judgment and professionalism. Including investigations of significant threats and/or the loss or misappropriation of assets including Intellectual Property Loss, Fraud, Theft, Product Tampering, etc. Conduct Compliance investigations involving potential violations of law, company policy or business ethics principles. Miscellaneous: Respond to security related issues, make of independent judgments and decisions on diverse matters ranging from violations of security procedures to serious emergencies involving law enforcement or medical authorities, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Establish and maintain effective personal liaison with key law enforcement agencies at local, state and federal levels and in industry to promote optimal degree of cooperation in matters of mutual interest. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline. Advanced Degree preferred. Minimum 1 years in Corporate Security experience with a multi-national corporation and/or entity. Or comparable law enforcement experience. Exceptional knowledge and experience in security matters such as: Security and Compliance Investigations, Counterfeiting, Criminal Investigations, Supply Chain Security, and other relevant security issues. Ability to work in collaborative environments with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds, countries of origin, and at varying levels within the corporate structures. Ability to perform under pressure and respond rapidly to breaking situations within tight timelines. Established network within the government including contacts in law enforcement (FDA-OIC, FBI, DHS) as well as in the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as work as part of a team. Highest personal integrity and ethics; exceptional sense of judgment and discretion; outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, to employees at any level in the organization; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
