Head of Event & Executive Protection (EEP) - Americas Region

The Head of Event & Executive Protection (EEP) for Americas Region will be based in New York and report jointly to the Americas Regional Head Protection Group and Global Head of EEP, as part of the Corporate Security & Business Continuity (CSBC) function. The candidate will manage the delivery of the Americas Region Executive Protection Model and will liaise and will work closely with personal assistants to the Management Board and Global Executive Committee, supporting Infrastructure Functions (Corporate Real Estate and Services (CRES), Global Technology & Operations (GTO), Global Sourcing, and Risk disciplines within the Risk function), and suppliers of
specialist security services.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate management and operation of the Americas Region Executive Protection Model, providing services to nominated senior Deutsche Bank Executives located in New York, and visiting Executives from overseas
Develop travel advisories for Senior Executives when travelling overseas, and where necessary, recommend and implement security measures to mitigate risks for Deutsche Bank executives travelling in ‘high’ and ‘extreme’ risk countries
Provide global travel risk advisory to regional Deutsche Bank travelers
Oversee and risk assess Deutsche Bank Corporate Events within region and where necessary implement agreed security measures to mitigate risk
Carry out security surveys of residences and offices of Executives and make recommendations to address security weaknesses, and project manage delivery of mitigation measures where appropriate
Develop and train outsourced executive protection officers currently contracted to the Bank, according to current Deutsche Bank policies and standards
Manage electronic counter measures services throughout the New York campus, according to current Deutsche Bank policies and standards
Establish contacts with Deutsche Bank peer organizations, and appropriate government agencies
Build effective relationships, and interact with all levels of management, including the executive level and management board-level
Liaise with Police and other Government Agencies


Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in Event & Executive Protection with a financial organization, preferred
Previous military experience preferred
Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and thought leader in key operational risk, security (physical and logical), and business continuity disciplines
Risk assessment experience
Candidate must have a strong understanding of good governance practices and management controls within the context of a security organization
Awareness of Global travel risk and associated security advisories
Must be able to demonstrate evidence of having successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously
Experience managing all aspects of vendor relationships and contracts
Educated to degree level or with equivalent knowledge and experience
Demonstrate a competency in designing and project managing residential security, security sweep and report production
Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate and manage a diverse array of responsibilities
A successful track record in a matrix environment that encompasses functional and geographical diversity
Must be a team player with a track record of collaborating across disciplines
Excellent command of English with a high standard of written and verbal communication skills
German language skills an advantage
Display a professional demeanor, be trust worthy and very discreet
Physically fit, smart and articulate
Have good IT skills (word, power point, excel) (Microsoft office preferable)
Willingness to travel
Willingness to be available 24x7 and respond at anytime to incidents involving Executives and/or Events
