Vessel Protection Team Leaders

Summary
Eos Risk Management, in response to rapid growth within our onboard maritime security activities, has an immediate requirement for experienced, qualified Vessel Protection Team Leaders to join our already seasoned team.
Requirements
Utilising previous experiences within armed maritime security teams at sea, successful candidates will be highly knowledgeable in Somalia-based and Gulf of Guinea maritime piracy and the
objectives and tactics of pirates and maritime criminals, the Indian Ocean HRA, the Gulf of Guinea, the ISPS Code, BMP-4, general marine safety, and will possess a high level of leadership skills and understanding of the commercial shipping sector. Minimum requirements and qualifications are, • A minimum of 6 years minimum military service within the British Army, Navy, or Marines;
• A minimum of 2 years hostile environment experience;
• In excellent physical condition;
• Proof of military certificate of service and discharge papers showing exemplary service;
• Successful completion of a recognised Maritime Security Course (e.g.8269 City & Guilds)
• Firearms Proficiency Certificate/Qualification;
• Internationally recognised medic qualification such as FPOS or MIRA;
• SSO course within a recognised accredited training centre;
• STCW 95 Basic Safety Training (4 Modules);
• Seaman’s Book and Discharge Book;
• ENG 1 Medical Certificate;
• Yellow Fever Inoculation Car;d
• Doctor’s letter confirming sound health;
• Clean criminal record background check (not more than 6 months old);
• Passport with at least 2 years validity remaining;

Highly Desirable
• Successful completion of a recognised Team Leader training course (Although not required, candidates having successfully completed the Eos Risk Team Leader course, Vessel Protection Team Management, may be especially attractive candidates as Eos has direct understanding of the candidates training and abilities; and
• Verifiable experience in command of Vessel Protection Teams onboard ocean going vessels for a minimum of 10 transits through a recognised maritime HRA.
NOTE: Exceptional candidates without prior Team Leader experience, but with maritime security operator (team member) experience, may be considered and are encouraged to apply.
