Reporting directly to the Executive Protection Security Manager, the Protection Security Supervisor is responsible for implementation of protection security requirements to mitigate risks that threaten safety and security of key executives at The Walt Disney Company and affiliated companies. Accountabilities include implementation of physical security systems and features at corporate facilities, risk assessments, strategic transportation and protection of identified high risk individuals at company events and public engagements. This role will employ a strong strategic and analytical approach in recommending, developing, implementing and overseeing the department’s executive security program; maximizing the value of centralized services, including key business and external partnerships; and building consensus in order to effectively implement program objectives.
Responsibilities
Provide security guidance and coverage to high risk individuals identified by Global Security leadership.
Provide input for documented executive protection program for The Walt Disney Company. Documentation will be available as a digital resource for Global Security team members and will include best practices, guidance, standards, assessments and remediation actions.
Build positive and long lasting relationships with TWDC business partners, law enforcement and government officials to include solid relationships with US Department of State and US Secret Service officials.
Coordinate identified high risk individual protection movements and logistics to support established itineraries. Some travel may be required to support this goal as conditions or events dictate.
Conduct advance planning at event sites to include risk assessment, intelligence gathering, transportation and accommodation security requirements and coordination with local law enforcement and event/venue security leadership
Provide secure transportation and evasive driving skills for protection requirements.
Collaborate with Global Security partners in investigating any direct or indirect threats made toward identified protection individuals.
Assist in identifying and assessing protection and individual monitoring technology. Coordinate testing of new products with Global and Regional Security Command Centers and travel monitoring partners.
Contribute to team effort by offering expertise to senior management; integrating objectives with other functions; accomplishing special projects as needed, sometimes as project lead, other times as contributing team member.
Successfully support special events and related initiatives by establishing action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements; obtaining and allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
Plan, monitor and appraise all job results. This includes monitoring performance of outside protective security vendors used to support protection program objectives.
Achieve financial goals by establishing objectives; developing and monitoring budgets; controlling and reducing costs; optimizing use of department assets.
Assist with anti-piracy security at pre-theatrical screenings, marketing campaigns or publicity events for Walt Disney Studios, Disney ABC Media Group, Pixar, Marvel or Lucasfilm content.
 Basic Qualifications
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in protection position
Protective security training and experience is required. Experience in the entertainment industry, including prior experience in talent or personal security protection is preferred.
