Job Description
As a Protective Services Lead, your goal is keep Square’s safe. The program is responsible for core functions under the Trust and Safety Team, including intelligence collection and analysis, travel safety, investigations, and event planning to support employee safety and public appearances.
You will:
  • Start small and stay scrappy to build a team that scales with the needs of the business
  • Be responsible for open source intelligence data collection and analysis as it relates to the strategic goals of Square and the safety of it’s employees and assets worldwide
  • Analyze information to reduce uncertainty, support decision making, inform strategic planning and operational responses, and facilitate problem solving
  • Produce Strategic, Operational and Tactical intelligence products and Threat Assessments as directed. Develop outward facing products that communicate global business risk to company leadership
  • Advance operational aspects of protective services for events and public appearances of staff or executive team members. Manage vendors and staff on protective services details and have overall accountability for their success
  • Have already established relationships in private industry and government in order to protect Square and its interests
  • Lead Square Trust and Safety Investigation cases and present to law enforcement when appropriate. Manage investigators and measure effectiveness
  • Manage Square’s Travel Risk Intelligence System (TRIS) for analysis and communication of risk to employees while traveling on domestic or international assignments
  • Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs through early warning where possible
  • Support the Trust and Safety Team initiatives in Operations and Investigations in order to enhance service delivery
  • Work with cross-functional teams to best support their work while providing essential services that enhance their safety and success
  • Responsible to lead other members of your team and evaluate their performance to achieve company and team goals
  • Some travel (domestic and international) will be required to execute and support protective plans, manage vendors and events
You have:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10-15 years in law enforcement at the Federal level as a special agent with analyst, executive protection, and investigations supervisory experience in your background
  • Team Building, analyst, investigations, communication, presentation, and cross-functional working skills
  • A passion for Square and its customers
