Job Summary
Under the direction of Dignity Health’s VP/Chief Security, Safety & Emergency
Preparedness Officer, the Executive Driver and Personal Protection Specialist requires a collaborative relationship with Dignity Health’s President/CEO. The individual is expected to perform the duties in alignment with the vision, core values, strong ethical business sense and compliance with all laws, rules and regulations of Dignity Health, with positive results. The incumbent must have the skills to carryout complex activities, functions, and be responsible for working under pressure. To effectively manage the responsibilities of this position, the incumbent must have a broad base general knowledge of Executive Driving and Personal Protection, effective communication skills at the professional, human resource and management levels are essential to this position.

The incumbent is primarily responsible for the safe and secure transportation of Dignity Health’s President/CEO on a daily basis. The Executive Driver/ Protection Specialist is also responsible for performing security services when needed, including but not limited to: pre-trip planning, route selection, site security surveys, pick up and/or drop off visitors/individuals at requested locations, and a variety of other tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction for Dignity Health President/CEO, Board Members and Executives. In addition, the Executive Driver/Protection Specialist will perform other security duties when not providing services for the President/CEO.

The incumbent must be a highly trained professional in executive driving, and personal protection who is dedicated to serving the unique and demanding security needs of Dignity Health’s President/CEO, Board Members, VIP’s, and other individuals. However, the primary responsibility is to provide transportation and protection services for Dignity Health’s President/CEO, and other duties that may be assigned by the VP/Chief of Security, Safety & Emergency Preparedness Officer.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health. It is expected that the individual will demonstrate behavior consistent with Dignity Health’s Core Values and shall support Dignity Health’s strategic plans, goals and direction of quality improvement process activities throughout the organization.

SPECIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements

LicensureClass C California Driver's license

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of employment

California Guard Card certification within 60 days of employment

ExperienceFive (5) years security, military or law enforcement experience, two (2) of which must have been as an Executive Protection position and driving.

EducationAssociate degree required. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and/or law enforcement preferred. However, experience may substitute for the degree.

TrainingLaw enforcement, Executive Protection Specialist or military training.
