Candidates should have the following prior to application:
At least 6 years verifiable military or police service with a clean conduct record
Be over the age of 25
A current passport with at least 8 months validity remaining
A thorough awareness and understanding of the maritime domain through either training or prior experience
Recent experience of hostile environments through either commercial or military experience
Full Basic STCW 95 (Basic Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Personal Safety and Social Responsibility, Elementary First Aid)
The ability to speak, read and write in English
Basic IT literacy
Yellow Fever Certificate
The following are desirable:
First Aid qualification FPOS or higher
Valid Seaman’s Card and Discharge Book
Marine DSC/VHF operators license (SRC or higher)
ISPS SSO Certification
Prior commercial maritime security experience
Candidates should submit CV’s and covering letters to hr@thalassic.co.uk along with two professional references and a single personal reference if desired. All experience claimed should be able to be evidenced and successful candidates will be required to complete a CRB check if they have not already done so within the last 90 days.
