This position under general direction will be required to ensure the appropriate level of protection is provided for multiple Actavis senior executives, members of the Board of
Directors and other executives and their families.The role will, under limited supervision, be responsible for the following:
Develops, oversees and manages the company’s executive protection program. Coordinates regularly with CEO Personal Assistant, and ELT member executive assistants on executive leadership’s schedules to ensure proper levels of protection based on risk factors.
Manages the coordination of executive drivers and provides direction as needed. Will participate in all aspects of internal and external security to include: personal protection, corporate facilities, residences, aviation and event security, ground and air transportation, protocol and special projects.
Conducts pre-trip advance assessments as assigned and coordinates with off-site security personnel to ensure proper protection is maintained while executive is visiting off-site venue.
Coordinates with visiting dignitaries or VIP’s security details to ensure risk is mitigated.
Conducts risk assessments of all personnel covered by the executive protection program.
Provide law enforcement liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Participates in professional forums and maintains currency with trends and developments in the executive protection field. Maintains excellent network and relationships with various businesses where executives frequent.
 Qualifications Qualifications:
This role must have proven success in executing global security programs in a large organization, preferably with a multi-national pharmaceutical company. Must be able to collaborate well with a wide variety of international business functions in a large matrix organization. The candidate will be responsible for independently articulating the global security vision and mission and gaining consensus with all levels of senior management internationally. Extensive knowledge of a global pharmaceutical operations, be well versed across multiple functional areas of responsibility in all international regions. Must be able to articulate well, with excellent presence when briefing management on security program plans and activities. Must have excellent written and speaking communications and presentation skills at all levels of management. Well versed in international affairs and capable of operating in various cultural environments. Maintains certification standards in place for all personnel assigned to program to include: Advanced First Aid, CPR, AED, advanced executive protection driving and evading techniques, counter-surveillance, self-defense, and weapons training (as directed).
Education Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field from an accredited college or university, minimum experience 10 years experience in security, law enforcement or military. 15+ years working in a corporate / global security function. 10+ years working in an executive protection management function. Experience in a U.S. Governmental protection program (i.e. Secret Service, Diplomatic Security Service) Active Certified HR218, and TSA ASO preferred. Flexibility to travel 20% of the time.
