Regional Security Specialist

Summary:
The Regional Security Coordinator plans and directs a geographic region(s) security function under corporate management direction. Develops, implements and manages regional strategic planning and coordination of the security function aligned with the
organization’s overall business objectives. Provides regional security leadership to the sites and establishes the regions security business plan. This role will act as the regional liaison point of contact between all affected departments regarding security matters, and will develop partnerships with federal, state and local law enforcement.

Responsibilities:
Performing threat and vulnerability assessments of key assets and providing strategic plans to mitigate identified risks.
Conducting difficult and complex investigations of alleged or suspected violations of laws or regulations concerning criminal and/or civil investigations, fraud, proprietary properties, and ethics.
Collecting data, conducting interviews, searching records, performing surveillance, and preparing reports.
Managing integrations of access control systems, closed circuit television, intrusion detection and developing solutions for the protection of field site locations.
Conducting advance surveys to facilitate executive or dignitary protection, serving as detail leader or protective specialist.
Managing and supervising regional physical security contractors, and ensuring manpower is properly allocated to meet regional security needs.
Supporting emergency response preparedness and ensuring proper security components are designed into plans.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma and minimum of 10 years experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization
Knowledge and experience in conducting complex investigations
Proficient in the use of MS Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or higher-level degree
Experience in executive or dignitary protection
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
Security Officer certification or retired law enforcement officer concealed carry credentials in accordance with the Law Enforcement Safety Act- Improvements Act S.1132, or capability to obtain North Dakota and/or Montana security officer certificate within 6 months of hiring date.
