Executive Protection - Security Specialist

We currently have an open opportunity in Executive Protection. The Executive Protection - Security Specialist will be responsible for the protection of company officers as they conduct official Monsanto business anywhere in the world. This position reports to the Manager of the Executive Protection Team. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive and professional personal protection for company Executives. The candidate must be able to interact professionally with personnel from other world areas
and cultures and have experience in international and domestic travel.
Major Responsibilities include:
•Perform effective protection measures to insure the security of the Executives, Employees, and large events
•Serve on the protective team as a lead or support role on protective assignments locally and domestically •Maintain high level of confidentiality with regards to Executives to include family contact information, residence locations, and residence security systems
•Provide safe and secure ground transportation for company officers within the greater St. Louis area •Coordinate protective details through the Manager of Executive Protection •Conduct advances and provide personal protection
•Foster an environment of trust and confidence through exemplary integrity and professionalism •Travel as necessary to provide protection and conduct advances
•Responsible for coordinating intelligence gathering using social media, threat analysis, and general intelligence activities
•Conduct investigations that involve threats against Executive Team members or Board of Directors •Available on-call for emergencies and be adaptable to constantly changing schedules which may include overtime hours, weekends, and holidays
•Ability to interact with other company CEO's / government officials and their Executive Protection teams.

Secondary Responsibilities:

•Conduct investigations, security vulnerability assessments and other types of operational support to augment responsibilities of uniformed patrol (including training)

Qualifications: 

•A Bachelors degree is required
•A minimum of 5 years professional experience in executive protection, law enforcement, investigations, military, or physical asset security is required
•Must understand personal protection concepts and have experience in international and domestic travel assignments
•Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to present and lead trainings in large groups
•Must be able to interact professionally with personnel from other world areas and cultures and present concepts and ideas in a reasonable and logical manner
•Must be self motivated, able to work without direct supervision, and understand security concepts and theories
•Must have exceptional organizational skills, time management, and task completion
•Must be available to work between 7:00AM and 6:00PM, with occasional evening, on-call, and weekend coverage.

Please note: this role requires the successful candidate to be physically fit, able to travel as necessary, work long hours, and carry luggage or other materials required for the mission. Must be able to physically detain, move, or arrest violent or aggressive individuals and make instant decisions regarding the wellbeing of the protected executive. Must be able to move quickly, run, pull, push, lift, bend, twist, climb, sit, stand, squat and have use of all faculties. *Successful completion of a post offer fitness test is required for employment in this position
