External Description: Primary Purpose:The Executive Security Specialist will provide for the welfare, physical protection, and security for company employees by performing executive protection security assignments as required.

Candidate must have at least five years of experience in conducting executive/dignitary protection operations in low to high threat environments, surveillance, counter surveillance, operational planning, and reconnaissance training. International operations experience, to include protective support operations for corporate and/or high net worth clients.

Familiarity with routes and experience traveling in Baja North, Mexico and southern California a must. Spanish fluency and established relationships with Mexican law enforcement/intelligence entities a plus.

Responsibilities:

The Executive Security Specialist call-In position has the same duties as the full-time Executive Security Specialist, but works
on call or on an as needed basis.

Meets at protectee’s residence or other designated location at the time required each day. Responsible for the safety and security of assigned protectee. This includes preparing safe transportation routes, evaluating the security of the protectee’s residence at departure and arrival, completing advances on destination points and maintaining a presence when necessary at special functions or events. Receives direct supervision from the supervisor, but will regularly receive work direction or instruction from the assigned protectee. Reports to the supervisor for work direction when released for the day or a portion of the day by the assigned protectee.

Travel with protectee throughout the United States and Mexico, including extended days and weekends. Required to be available to his/her protectee until dismissed or as directed by supervisor.

Attends specialized training in tactical driving, self-defense, certification in First Aid/CPR, defibulator usage and first responder medicine.

Additional assignments include, but are not limited to, assisting department members with other security related duties.


Provides courier services for sensitive and confidential documents or materials for his assigned protectee and other executives or departments.

Attends briefings relating to security issues affecting the protectee and general crime in coverage areas.

Performs other duties as assigned.
External Qualifications: Qualifications:

Valid California driver’s license, safe driving record.

No chargeable accidents or violations over the last three (3) years.

Typically requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in law enforcement and/or military experience in executive/dignitary protection.

Equivalent experience in executive protection in the private sector for minimum of five (5) years is also acceptable.

If hired, must successfully complete an executive protection training program.

Must be certified in First Aid/ CPR training and must be proficient in rendering first response medical treatment when called upon.
