Job Description

Protection Strategies Incorporated(PSI), provides support services at the Air Force's Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold Air Force Base, TN.

AEDC is the nation's largest complex of flight simulation test facilities. This $11 billion complex includes 58 aerospace test facilities with the ability to simulate flight from subsonic to hypersonic speed at altitudes from sea-level to space. Twenty-seven of the complex's facilities are unique in the United States; fourteen are unique in the world.

As a Chief of Protective Services, you will be responsible for the professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a client's site. In this role, you will:
Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-stie is perfromed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all personnel assigned to his/her site).
Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met.
Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by PSI.
Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel assigned to his/her site.
Perform other operations related functions (e.g., payroll, revew and maintain incident reports, issue uniforms, coordinate fleet vehicles, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders).
Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.
Respond to client requests.

Requirements
Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions.
Possess a valid state driver’s license. Current Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification is desired.
Must successfully complete pre-employment fitness test and annual fitness test thereafter, consisting of: cardiovascular endurance, anaerobic power, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility training.

The fitness test consists of:
Sit-ups in 1 minute: 15 repetitions
Push-ups: 21 repetitions
300-Meter Run: < = 87.0 seconds
1.5-Mile Run/Walk: < = 18 minutes

Attendance:
Regular attendance is essential to the efficient operation of PSI and is a necessary condition of employment. Each employee will be expected to adhere to the work schedule established by his/her supervisor and comply with the company’s attendance policy. Employees are expected to report to work at the scheduled time, return from breaks promptly, and depart work not earlier than the end of the scheduled day. Compliance with safety rules and safe work practices is an essential function of the job.

Education & Work Experience
Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years of military police or security forces experience and/or two years of professional police experience in a civilian law enforcement agency.
Must be a graduate of a civilian police academy or a recognized military police/Security Forces academy with the capability to complete a civilian police academy within 6 months.
Must be able to maintain qualification and authority to carry firearms.
Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a required Secret Security Clearance and meet all requirements under Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 38-8-118.
