Regional Security Director


Location(s): Based in either Athens, Istanbul or Warsaw

Salary: Circa 70k USD + Bonus, local benefits, pension, car and subsistence

Job description: 
This role is an ideal opportunity for a motivated candidate to help build a new function in a growing Fortune 500 company. The Regional Security Director EMEA will be responsible for the creation, implementation and management of security programs and projects throughout the region.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing a full range of protection, site security, crisis management and response, event security, executive protection and security-related risk assessments.
Detailed responsibilities in order of priority: location support able to assist in defining security systems and the project managing of the installation. You will be experienced in security management support in the region, intelligence and risk assessments, travel security, event and executive protection programmes. We are looking for a person that has strong experience in crises management.

Indirect report to manage security integration of technology requirements throughout the region.
Act as primary point of contact with regional Corporate Services and Information Technology teams for the delivery and management of security systems.
Support the planning and programing for regional security systems for construction, renovations, and facility operations in accordance with financial, schedule, and operational goals.
Manage the program efforts for services, maintenance, and life-cycle management.
Support regional and site-level badging operations.
Supervise integrators to ensure technical standards are properly applied and comply with budgetary guidelines.
Manage security engineering services to ensure security design standards and performance specifications are incorporated into construction and renovation projects.
Manage the configuration of site-level security systems for integration with enterprise systems in accordance with regional security requirements.
Provide assistance to regional and local business units in educating and advising on security and safety risks, corporate policies, programs and solutions.
Report, investigate & manage security related incidents within the region;
Oversee training and testing of regional and local crisis management teams and other educational efforts for regional employees to establish a culture of crisis prevention and response

Candidate profile: 

Relevant experience of in a corporate security environment, preferable in the financial services industry.
Relevant Bachelors degree required; Masters degree a plus
Relevant certifications highly desirable (e.g. ASIS PSP or CPP, DRII CBCP, CSyP)
Understanding and experience with electronic security systems.
Experience of developing corporate security training programs.
Experienced in multiple corporate security disciplines such as: physical security, emergency management, travel security and crisis management.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.
Excellent oral and written communication, including the ability to make presentations to high-level executives and prepare written policies and reports in English.
Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously and providing effective support to all functions and individuals within the corporate structure.
Experienced in working within a fast paced, complex, dynamic and multi-cultural business environment.
Relevant foreign language skills.
