Job Introduction:
The world’s leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Executive Driver. This executive driving position will transport senior client executives. In addition, this position will provide deterrence on an executive level. This position will observe and report, deter criminal activity and misconduct, or perform other duties as specified in post orders.

The Executive Driver will provide service to senior client executives and visiting dignitaries in the New York City area. The Executive Driver will maintain close contact with senior executives’ secretaries regarding itineraries and logistics, travel times, location, etc. The driver will assist in protection and safety of passengers.

Role Responsibility:
Perform security escorts in vehicle; ensure that tasks are completed on time; handle multiple demands for commitment of time, energy, and resources
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Provide assistance to customers, employees, executives and visitors in a courteous manner
Interpret rules and regulations
Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy; interpret behavior and emotional patterns in individuals and groups, communicate facts and ideas clearly both orally or in writing
Maintain vehicle in a clean serviceable condition, transporting cars to dealership, responsibility for emergency repairs to vehicles


The Ideal Candidate:
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a current and valid driver license
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
A minimum of 5 years work experience civilian or military law enforcement

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
Effective oral and written communication skills
Active listening skills
Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
Attention to detail

Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules to include work evenings and weekends
Must possess knowledge of New York City and Tri-State areas, Manhattan, airports, etc.
Must possess knowledge of law enforcement policies
Must possess knowledge of basic automobile mechanics
Must possess good levels of interpersonal skills to exchange information, answer questions, interact with senior executives and greet visitors
Must possess problem solving skills to handle and prioritize executive’s requests vs. other duties
Must have highly technical driving skills
Must possess expertise in driving regulations
In an emergency situation, must have physical ability to hastily move executive into vehicle, to enter chauffeur vehicle expediently to depart area
Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military


Physical Requirements and Environment
Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Driving, walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
