Close Protection Chauffeur

We are looking for a qualified Close Protection Chauffeur to provide secure driving services and close protection security to the Principal & family.

The CP Chauffeur will provide secure driving services and close protection security predominantly to the children of the Principal. The role will also provide cover for the driving requirements of the Principal, including the driving of guests and carrying out of tasks for the Estate. The CP Chauffeur will be a member of the Residential Security Team and will report to the Estate Manager on a day-to-day operational basis but will also have direct contact with the principal regarding driver requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Carry out driving duties as instructed by the Estate Manager and the Principal. Such driving duties to be predominantly for the children of the Principal and to cover the driving duties for the Principal as and when required

Provide close protective security to the designated Principal and/or family members
Carry out security checks and background research for the children’s schools and off site activities
Prepare reports to the Principal ahead of school residential trips to include details of the site, security, and proposed recommendations for security of the children whilst off site
Coordinate with 3rd party security provider ahead of and during school residential trips to provide additional close protection to the children
Direct liaison with the schools regarding attendance, sports fixtures, and other school related activities
Accompany the children during activities on the Estate
Maintain and prepare vehicles including cleaning, refuelling, and standard daily vehicle maintenance checks
Provide support in the maintenance of the garage, stocks and cleanliness
Carry out additional ad hoc duties and tasks as instructed by the Estate Manager to assist in supporting the Estate team

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Level 3 certificate in Close Protection
Licensed to SIA and CP standard
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in either a RST or personal security role
First Aid at work HSE approved
Excellent driving skills with a valid driving licence and a maximum of 3 penalty points
Good driving knowledge of inner London
Military or police service experience is desirable but not essential

Ability to communicate effectively within the team, to members of the public, law enforcement and other security professionals
Ability to instill confidence in the Principal and the family
Ability to be sympathetic to the specific needs of the Principal and family and be able to balance intrusive security with freedom of movement
Proactive approach and instantly responsive as required
Physically fit and able to demonstrate, where required, a confident and physical deterrent posture to assist in averting unwanted attention to the Principal and family
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Well presented with excellent interpersonal and social skills
Ability to maintain confidential and discreet is essential

Other Requirements:
Flexible, prepared to work anti-social hours, at short notice
Working 5 days including the weekends with 2 days off during the week and one weekend off per month
Good spoken and written English
IT literate
