Reporting to the Global Head of Security & Safety, this role will work with regional counterparts to establish and implement the operating standards for the Executive Protection program globally. The candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic initiatives once agreed, by developing short and long term plans, to be executed regionally by the regional CSIS teams. Once successfully implemented, the role will be responsible for the long term management and oversight of the operational framework. Additional responsibilities include:


Formalizing the program's budget expenditure

Providing the advanced logistics for Executives requiring protective services.

Coordinating protective services for Citi employees travelling to high-risk countries.

Coordinating protection details with GCC, RCC, regional and Emerging Risks & Crisis Logistics teams.

Qualifications


Bachelors or equivalent 10+ years experience in Criminal Justice, Military or Law Enforcement

Detailed expertise in corporate security within a large global organization in a management role

Excellent network in security sector; connections with Government preferred

Detailed knowledge of vendor management and contracts within security vendor community

Have at least 10 years of hands-on operational experience (i.e. tactical, first-responder, on-scene type roles) in a military, law enforcement, emergency services, intelligence, diplomatic, or non-governmental organization. Similar experience in a logistical, services or customer-facing business role in a global environment will be considered.

Experience in managing/influencing organizations without influence across business lines and regional jurisdictions/locations

In-depth knowledge of corporate security, physical security, crisis management, event security, executive protection

Employee needs to react and respond quickly to threats especially while offsite, travelling with executive protectee

In developing the operating standards, the employee will need to evaluate inputs from regional security programs and develop one global operating model

This role is integral to ensuring the safety and security of Citi executives, especially while travelling to high risk locations

The candidate needs to have the ability to quickly respond to threats and emergencies. An example would be a change in the threat risk profile of a country that an executive protectee is travelling in for an event – the role needs to make immediate decisioning around changing of venues to mitigate risk and secure the safety of the individual(s).
