Job Description
The Executive Protection Agent is responsible for promoting and ensuring the safety and security of executives within the executive building at the client’s corporate headquarters and during various events.

The Agent will maintain excellent lines of communication amongst their core team inside the executive building, the Executive Security Supervisor, and Investigations and Protective Services (IPS) management. The position will identify, report, address, and mitigate threats/vulnerabilities in processes and procedures of the security team and other business units operating in the executive building.

Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
Provide close protection and other security functions for executives, VIP guests, and other persons/groups identified by IPS.
Enforce policies and adhere to procedures that promote the safety and security of executives, VIP guests, and other persons/groups identified by IPS. These include but are not limited to;
Access control
CCTV monitoring
Alarm response
Patrols tactics
Threat intelligence
Respond to emergencies within the executive building or event locations.
Deescalate tense situations or individuals that arise at the executive building or events.
Write detailed incident reports following any incident, occurrence, or variance that warrants documentation.
Maintain excellent operational communication with team members and IPS leadership specifically as it relates to escalation of information during emergencies or potentially threatening situations.
Provide excellent customer service to everyone you cross paths with while on duty.
Maintain a professional appearance day to day.
Communicate vulnerabilities to IPS team members.
Identify and escalate equipment deficiencies/failures.
All other duties, as assigned.



JOB REQUIREMENTS
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.


MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug testing and background investigation.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone).
Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
Must be at least 21 years of age to carry a firearm.
Must have permit to carry a firearm.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED with at least 5 years of experience in conducting executive protection operations in low to high threat locations and protective support operations for corporate, technology, or high net worth clients.

Prior military/law enforcement background is highly desirable. Current Oregon armed DPSST license and Oregon CCW permit are required.


COMPETENCIES

Current Oregon armed DPSST and CCW.
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, radio, email, text, etc.).
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Substantial background in providing concierge customer service.
Experience with and working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring, etc.
Computer skills; Microsoft Office and corporate database tools.
Successful problem resolution skills.
Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
Able to manage and defuse difficult, stressful and/or confrontational situations through effective communication skills.

Work in environments and under conditions that require carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective gear and devices, and awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Computer usage and operating controls.
On occasion, may be required to perform stressful and physical activity.
Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly in order to respond effectively to situations, communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents and direct others.
Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Occasional walking and reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Some lifting and moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
Available 24/7, as needed.
Travel, as required.
