Position Purpose:

Plans and directs all security programs for the Asia Pacific Region under senior management direction. Develops, implements, and manages the strategic and tactical
planning for the region's security services. Directs regional and country security staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability in order to reduce financial loss to the organization. Identifies significant security risks, designs and implements strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of the organization's assets. Advises businesses and functions regarding physical security to ensure the appropriate level of protection for of executives, managers, employees, physical assets, intellectual properties and information assets, while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment. Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards, training and methods for identifying and protecting intellectual property assets, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, product tampering, espionage, sabotage, or financial loss. Working with in-country agencies and staff, directs the approach, deployment and execution of investigations, in addition to conducting investigations as needed. Maintains close relationships with high-level law enforcement, intelligence and private sector counterparts to include in-country security and international security agencies. Researches and deploys state-of-the art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard the organization's assets. Advises senior management on threats, risks, and status of international security issues. Develops a consensus position within an organization climate of diverse operational activities and often-conflicting regulations imposed by agencies and countries with regulatory jurisdiction.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills - REQUIRED

Education (includes formal education, certifications, accreditations, etc):

Bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience; or a minimum of 15 years experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization in lieu of a degree

Experience:
International security experience and in-depth knowledge of assigned region
Experience with assessing and implementing physical security at facilities
Past experience conducting/coordinating international investigations
Strong multi-tasking capabilities
Ability to work within deadlines and time pressures
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently/develop solutions independently

Technical Skills:
Full understanding and experience with Microsft Office products
Experience with security equipment integration such as card access, intrusion alarms and security cameras
Knowledge of executive protection

Education, Experience - PREFERRED

Education (includes formal education, certifications, accreditations, etc):
Master's degree or international equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP)certified through ASIS

Experience:
Previous attendance and completion in a professional program such as John E. Reid or Wicklander and Zulwaski interview and interrogation
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or other ASIS certifications
Understanding of agribusiness
