General Summary
Executive Protection Officer provides administrative and security service to the Client; supervises and/or administers the necessary activities to assure the personal security, privacy, and confidentiality of the Client’s daily activities. Extensive domestic and international travel, and evening and weekend hours will be required.
Overview
Represent the Client in accordance with their personal and professional standards of conduct and ethics.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in fulfillment of Client's business operations.
Objective as a staff team member is to contribute to the simplification and efficiency of the daily activities of the Client. Commitment to personal service exhibited in a gracious manner is essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in order to effectively interact with household staff and with professional and personal contacts.
Position requires a person of highest personal integrity who is well organized, flexible in work schedule requirements, and able to handle multiple projects and situations calmly and effectively.
Duties And Responsibilities
Security Activities
Assumes overall responsibility for safety of Client at all times, including personal security, privacy, and confidentiality of Client's business and personal matters.
Coordinates security and residences of Client, including establishment of security policy; may hire, direct, evaluate, pay, and dismiss related security personnel; participates in evaluation of background checks for perspective household employees.
Maintains and updates written security plan and procedures.
Advises Client on security measures.
Observes, identifies, and handles all situations unwanted, unnecessary, and/or threatening to Client.
Investigates threats against Client.
Participates in periodic training on security measures.
Administrative/Supervisory
Coordinates activities, transportation, changes in travel plans, or other requests by the Client.
Identifies and plans routes to and from a variety of points of destinations, e.g., meetings, conventions, etc., and selects the appropriate means of travel.
Coordinates a variety of services along with maintaining necessary communications with local, state, and federal police, fire and medical emergency agencies, regarding the Client’s activities and services as required.
Coordinates and procures necessary manpower and security coverage per destination or activity needs.
Works with others to secure property and equipment.
Works effectively with other staff and corporate employees.
Performs special projects and any and all other duties as requested by Client.
Additional Requirements
Responsibilities of Executive Protection Administrator are conducted in the home(s) of the client, as well as at various national and international locations. While an employer/employee relationship exists, it is important that employee is genuinely committed to being part of the team.
Preservation of a peaceful household atmosphere is essential. Responsibilities should be carried out to be the least intrusive to the Client. This requires flexibility and ingenuity with sensitivity to privacy at all times.
Executive Protection Officer must be responsible, dedicated, dependable, and self-directed person of highest integrity; organized and reliable; positive in attitude; and one who demonstrates pride in service which he/she provides.
The privacy and security are of critical importance; the highest level of confidentiality must be exercised at all times.
Qualifications
Education
College degree and/or equivalent professional experience
Formalized Protective Services training desirable
Protective Services Driving Program desirable
First Aid/CPR Certification mandatory
First Response/EMT Certification desirable
Foreign language fluency a plus
Preferred Professional Experience
Three years of Protective Services experience
Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement Background
Domestic and International Security experience
Advance Work experience
Familiarity with Alarm Systems and Countermeasures
Ability to qualify with fire arms
Other Qualifications
Willing and able to travel Domestically and Internationally
Possession of Valid Passport, U.S. Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record
Ability to obtain Concealed Weapon Permit
Possession of Concealed & G licenses
Satisfactory results of Pre-employment Background Check (including credit worthiness), Psychological Evaluation & Drug Screen
Willingness to submit to Random Drug Testing during employment
