Altria Client Services’ role is to help Altria Group and its operating companies responsibly meet their business goals by providing the high quality services they require in a financially disciplined way. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Manager Corporate Security, Protective Services to join our Corporate Securities & Facilities (CS&F) department in Richmond, VA.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategy, management and oversight for all aspects of security in providing protection for senior managers in the Altria Leadership Group.

Specific accountabilities include:
Manages all aspects of the protective mission as it relates to Altria senior management, including physical protection, intelligence, medical emergency, emergency relocation, operational security, and hazard mitigation.

Develops, implements, and manages security plans for high level special events including Board of Directors events and Annual Shareholder Meetings.

Assesses, gathers, and validates information from a variety of sources to determine appropriate corrective actions to identified vulnerabilities.

Assesses threats and identifies potential vulnerabilities.

Develops, maintains, and leverages key law enforcement liaison and industry related contacts to facilitate information sharing with law enforcement agencies to enhance executive security.

Conducts comprehensive physical security surveys and details those results in a comprehensive report.


Specific Skills Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Criminal Justice or other related disciplines plus 5-8 years of experience in private security or law enforcement, to include at least 2 years supervisory experience.

Demonstrated ability to conduct security advances and develop security plans for high profile events requiring complex logistics.

Knowledge of current protective and threat assessment techniques and practices.

Demonstrated ability and experience in threat assessment and mental health interventions.

Demonstrated ability to respond to and manage emergency situations

Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately.

Training and experience in emergency medical procedures.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects that are sensitive and confidential in nature by exercising a high degree of organizational astuteness with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse workforce.

Ability to work long hours and/or different times of the day and night as needed. Must be able to perform effectively in high stress situations.
