Protective Services Manager Operations

Position Description: 

The Protective Services Manager reports to the Director of Protective Services and is ultimately responsible and accountable for the good order of the work force as it relates to client expectations, the general public and the best business practices of MSA Security.


Major Areas of Responsibility:
Support all areas of Protective Services
Provide input into the development of employee Standards of Performance and Conduct as well as Post Standard Operating Procedures.
Implement and enforce employee Standards of Performance and Conduct.
Implement and supervise the execution of Post Standard Operating Procedures inclusive of client specific requirements and companywide business practices.
Review post orders and other details of assignments with employees.
Travel to assigned sites to perform site inspections and support as needed
Coach, discipline and provide balanced feedback to personnel as appropriate; meet personally with employees and document coaching and disciplinary actions.

Cover assignments until proper relief is available

Specific Responsibilities:
Monitor actions of subordinates to ensure alert, courteous, and professional behavior toward client representatives, fellow employees, visitors, and the public.
Responsible and accountable for representation of MSA Security with all clients.
Ensure widest dissemination and understanding of employee Standards of Performance and Conduct.
Serve as the direct representative of the MSA Security Leadership and Management team to the field and relay and enforce operational decisions and intent.
Conduct initial inquiry and investigations into allegations of employee misconduct or SOP violations.
Recommend policies and procedures to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, safety and overall performance in meeting client’s expectations.
Complete administrative paperwork as required, and maintain records, forms, and reports as necessary.
Coordinate successfully with other MSA departments to ensure reliable operations.


Specific Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Extensive Department of Defense or Law Enforcement leadership and managerial experience
Prior training and experience in Executive Protection duties and responsibilities but not limited to:
Personal Protection
Advance planning
Evacuation protocols
Conflict de-escalation
Evasive driving
Emergency response techniques
Defensive tactics
Behavior-situation awareness
Active Shooter
Preparation of pre-operational assignment reports
Post active reports
Intake threat assessment of protectee
Strong written and oral communications skills

Other Requirements:
Must consistently maintained a polished demeanor and appearance.
Must have flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
Must be United States Citizen or be a valid US resident authorized to work in the United States
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Working Knowledge of a smart phone
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and employment check
Must be in possession of, or able to obtain NYS Armed Security License, TWIC and other licensing and credentialing requirements, as required
