Group Summary 
The Global Security Team (GST) establishes a secure working environment for our employees and partners globally so they can realize their full potential and fulfill the foundation's overall mission. GST ensures the physical security of all personnel and the infrastructure of the Foundation, ensuring a safe working environment that supports the Foundation and provides a full range of security programs consistent with global security program for all global Foundation offices.


Responsibilities 
The Senior Specialist, Security Protective Operations conducts protective operations globally to enable foundation staff and executives to complete their work in as safe an environment as possible. Develop and maintain the protective operations team's critical skills training program. Work with the Manager, Protective Operations to identify critical skills and to set the training standards. Ensure all team members are in compliance with the established training standards and maintain appropriate certifications.

Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and manage all necessary protective measures for foundation staff and executives globally as appropriate to the level of risk.
-Design and maintain a training program for the protective operations team in order to maintain defined critical skills. (e.g., firearms, defensive tactics, advanced driving skills, and attack on principle scenarios). Maintain team weapon systems.
-Capture key budgetary metrics and advise Manager, Protective Operations on Protective Operations mission and training budgets.
-Establish and maintain rapport with foundation departments to ensure free flow of information. Manage the HRT program; ensuring information presented is current and relevant.
-Review daily threat information to identify potential threats to the foundation, and provide recommendations to travelers and management regarding to potential impact.
-This role is responsible for high quality interactions and clear and consistent communications with grantees and partners in the field.

Qualifications 
-Bachelor's degree with 6 -10 years of Executive Protection experience preferred. 
-Wilderness First Responder and Advanced Trauma Life Support strongly preferred.
-Extensive knowledge of protective operation procedures in both permissive and non-permissive environments.
-Ability to conduct protective operations appropriate to the level of risk globally.
-Communicate effectively at levels all of government and corporate structures to include communicating across cultural boundaries.
-Ability to effectively manage vendor relationships, expectations, and outcomes to achieve best results for the foundation mission.
