The Netflix Physical Security Specialist will support our security function within Netflix's Original Productions across both Film and Television. This role is responsible for security logistics and physical security operations for Netflix productions and related publicity events. Reporting into the Manager, Safety and Security partnering closely with Legal, PR & Marketing, and Physical Production.


Job Responsibilities:
Provides safety and security consulting services to Netflix’s global productions
Evaluates production concepts, scripts, pitches, etc., for safety and security concerns and risks
Mitigates any concerns by working directly with Production Executives, Producers, Unit Production
Managers and other production staff
Work directly with Production in the planning and execution phase of all filming: assessing security needs, securing appropriate vendors, and traveling to remote locations as required
Develop or obtain risk assessments and intelligence updates for locations, talent and crew, as required
Provide guidance and advice on Production or Event security matters
Provide Netflix the timely intelligence and information needed to keep Netflix employees and productions safe, secure and resilient
Evaluates production sets, stages and locations for security risks
Responds to, and investigates production emergencies, incidents and accidents
Direct close protection details, as required
Assist HR, Labor, and FInance with investigations when appropriate
Coordinates and/or conducts threat assessments as required
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with Local/State/Federal law enforcement, emergency response and governmental regulatory agencies as appropriate
Act as secondary designee for International SOS notifications and alerts
Assist with NC4 Program management to ensure accuracy and timely alert assessment


Qualifications:
A minimum of 8-10 years of international production security experience working for a studio or other production entity
Proven effective and current strong domestic and international security network contacts
Strong security intelligence and analysis experience
Familiarity with emergency preparedness, disaster recovery, content protection, social media monitoring techniques, and information security protocols and planning
Thorough understanding of motion picture and television production process including organizational structure, terminology, content protection protocols
BA in Criminal Justice, International Studies, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related major
Knowledge and interest in staying current in world events and global political landscape
Law enforcement or military experience


Ability to:

Travel domestically and internationally (approximately 50%)
Determine the applicable regulations in states and countries where a particular production may be shooting (possibly for the first time)
Quickly recognize and resolve various production security issues that arise during the course of normal production activities
Partner with risk managers, loss control executives and insurance underwriters to resolve loss prevention issues
Interact with law enforcement agencies, company management, productions, and studio personnel
