Job Summary:
The Manager Business Continuity/Crisis Management & Security Operations will provide leadership in the area of business resiliency, crisis management and security across all Strategic Business Units (SBU’s) and regions of Ingersoll Rand.  This position will interact with all levels of management across all business units.  This position requires an experienced manager in the field of organizational resilience - to drive security and business continuity programs and procedures in support of Ingersoll Rand facilities/operations worldwide. This manager
will work on designing, conducting and evaluating training, exercises and preparedness planning focused on security awareness and disaster response with respect to catastrophic natural and manmade disaster scenarios. The Manager will develop, write and revise emergency and incident response plans, leverage their experience in training senior level management personnel in security awareness and emergency response to teach appropriate crisis response skills.  Experience with developing response plans, response integration planning and/or participating in exercises is required. The successful applicant will have strong cross group collaboration and communication skills and the experience to make effective presentations to all audience levels.  This position reports to the Director, Global Security and will be based in North America.

Responsibilities:
Manage all tactical details related to the implementation of the Ingersoll Rand’s organizational resilience programs that include security, crisis response and business continuity training, plans and procedures.
Refine and update the Enterprise Crisis Management Plan on a regular basis, as well as continue roll-out of the Enterprise Crisis Management Plan to all SBU’s.
Train senior level management and implement the Company Crisis Management Plan globally.
Oversee the maintenance and regular exercise of the Crisis Management Plan, procedures and responses.
Develop incident specific contingency plans as needed to support emerging threats; oversee and refine annual updates of existing plans.
Develop incident management training based upon best practices, program strategy, and regional needs.
Develop metrics to measure implementation of security risk assessment recommendations, training status, exercise status and penetration testing results.
Prepare security and emergency response incident lessons-learned to share with Company staff and operations to improve organizational resilience practices.
Manage technology projects designed to increase organizational agility.
Identify emerging technology tools and partner with Information Technology Services to manage deployment/implementation of tools enhancing the agility of Global Security’s response to life safety issues.
Assist with the development of security standard work, policies, standards and procedures and identify resources to publicize best security practices.
Identify preferred business partners for emergency response training. Exercise plan and training design and implementation focusing on building a global network of competent suppliers and expert resources.
Maintain strong working relationships and collaboration with outside contingency planning professional organizations and local, regional, and governmental emergency response groups in each region.
Foster effective communication and coordination with the Ingersoll Rand Global Security team.
Maintain close liaison with government, industry and law enforcement professionals.
Provide quick and comprehensive response to critical security-related incidents against Ingersoll Rand employees or assets.
Identify, develop, implement, and maintain Company security processes and asset protection measures across all business units to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability in all areas.
Provide expertise, direction and support on all matters relating to operations/investigations, security risk identification, analysis and integration, production operations, security awareness, crisis management, travel security, executive security, workplace violence, intelligence, and investigative matters.
Coordinate and manage executive protection plans for senior management.
Manage ongoing analysis of security exposures, evaluate program effectiveness, and develop benchmarking standards and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the Global Security function.

Full knowledge of Business Continuity & Crisis Management methodology and implementation.
5+ years demonstrated experience with process training and development.
Train-the-Trainer experience.
3+ years of general experience with Emergency or Incident Management, Crisis and Risk Management, or similar industry. Critical Incident Management preferred.
Articulate and tactful team player
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with critical deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Project)
International experience: At least 3 years’ experience of living and/or working outside of the United States is preferred.
Travel required: Global travel required 35-50%.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred.
7+ years of significant experience in emergency management, military or law enforcement, public service or private sector security organization preferred, with progressively responsible management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Certification in Business Continuity Planning or related certification in business resiliency.
ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Certification, or other industry specific certification preferred.
