The Executive Protection Officer provides for the safety and security of an MGMRI senior executive and his wife. Primary duties include, providing physical security and conducting risk assessments. Additional duties may include, assisting other MGMRI properties with criminal activity, conduct property integrity checks, work special major events, and perform counter-surveillance. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.


Provide for the safety and personal security of an MGMRI senior executive and his wife. This can vary at any given time with various schedules and little or no advance notice.
Travel with the senior executive as needed often on short notice including extended worldwide travel, following operational plans and trip requirements as directed by Executive Protection Manager.
Review material and conduct investigations related to executive protection.
Mitigate threats and vulnerabilities via investigation, proactive means, site visits, and pre planning security at events.
Maintain proficiency in relevant protective services training, as required by Executive Director Protective Services.
Be able to provide emergency first aid/AED and CPR if needed.
Provide armed assistance to MGMRI properties that have problematic areas with criminal activities.
Work with MGMRI properties to conduct integrity checks regarding internal investigations.
Assist MGMRI properties to provide armed security during special major events.
Perform counter-surveillance at MGMRI properties as needed or upon request.
Maintain flexible schedule and on-call hours as needed.
Perform other job related duties as requested.

Required


At least 4 years of law enforcement and/or legal within profession.
Advanced knowledge in the area of investigations.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred


Previous executive protection training and/or work experience.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
