The Close Protection Driver’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
• Placed under the WS Insight International Security Manager responsibility, the primary role of the CPD is to drive a 4x4 soft skin or armoured vehicle and to provide security and safety for the Client ( 24/7 if required);
• Take necessary actions for the maintenance of the equipment assigned to him and report immediately any incident or accident related to the use of the equipment;
• Take necessary actions to ensure that the vehicle has all necessary equipment operational such as: Radio, first aid, emergency communications system if required and according to the Security Operating Standards (SOPs);
• Brief the staff assigned in the vehicles in relation to the local security plan and the necessary actions in case of emergency;
• Immediately intervene and launch counter-measures when the security and/or safety of the protected Personnel(s) or high-level visitor(s) is in danger;
• Immediately report any incident or accident relating to the security and/or safety of the protected Personnel(s) or high-level visitor(s) to the Client’s Security Coordinator, the Head of Administration, the Regional Security Adviser/Officer, as appropriate, as well as to the WS Insight International Security Manager;
• Follow instructions as determined in the Client's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in the WS Insight Standard Operating Procedures for Security Guards;
• Respond to and comply with specific direct instructions given by the Client Security Coordinator, the Head of Administration, the Regional Security Advisor/Officer or International Security Manager.


Person Specification:
• Eastern European National with relevant experience;
• Security experience: a minimum of 3 years in a security-related position (armed forces, law enforcement services, private security companies) and a minimum of 2 years in the field of close protection services, preferably with diplomatic missions, embassies or representations of international organisations, attested by reference letters from current and/or former employers;
• Valid driving license issued by an European Country (B and C cat) in addition to the one recognised by local authorities and at least 5 years driving experience;
• Valid training for driving Armoured Vehicles (AV) attested by a certificate;
• Very good defensive driving techniques, to be attested by a relevant certificate;
• At least level B2 of English and local language;
• Very good skills in unarmed combat, attested by a relevant certificate;
• Good knowledge of armoured vehicles technical details;
• Very good knowledge of radio equipment, communication and operating procedures;
• Good knowledge of Word and Outlook IT System;
• Very good knowledge in first aid and fire-fighting, attested by relevant certificates, training must be attended in person, not online;
• Good knowledge in trauma care will be an asset;
• Clean criminal record, attested by a certificate of good character issued by the competent law enforcement authorities;
• Excellent health, mental and physical condition for this type of job, attested by a medical certificate.
