Executive Protection Specialist

The Candidate Must Be Able To

Create detailed security plans prior to each event or trip including country risk assessments and recommendations.
When appropriate, visit planned trip locations to assess best transportation routes, locate venues, identify security risks, evaluate hotels, and fine tune trip plans.
Accompany Intel executives to provide security and assist in the seamless transportation between locations working closely with Sr. level managers around the world.
Create documented security plans for major Intel events, i.e. consumer shows and sales conferences.
Ensure that contract security resources are identified and provide contractually agreed services during the event and assist with all security related matters during the event.
Interface with global law enforcement agencies as needed.
Work closely with Site Operations Security personnel and provide basic event and other security training as needed.
Achieve and maintain annual training and certification in the areas of protective security operations and medical EMT B equivalent.

Position requires extensive travel and will include working long hours.
Candidates must submit and pass a position of trust POT background check.

Additional Job Duties

In this position, you may be called upon to investigate a variety of incidents to include, but not limited to internal theft, freight theft, fraud, misconduct, and workplace violence prevention. Investigations may be internal or external and will require partnering with various personnel including, but not limited to other Corporate Security personnel, Human Resources, inside and outside council, technical forensic investigators, and law enforcement. Investigations are conducted in accordance with company processes and protocols.

This position will also support various Corporate Security programs oversight or development that may include, but are not limited to pre-employment background investigations, workplace violence prevention, and various compliance programs.

This position will make recommendations to Corporate Security management relating to security effectiveness, efficiency, and continuous improvements. At times you may work closely with and provide coverage for other Corporate Security personnel including, but not limited to Security Operations Managers and Emergency Managers.

This is a salaried "exempt" position. Core hours are 8-5 M-F, but will require flexibility to cover both expected and unexpected events or investigations that will come up at inconvenient times during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Corporate Security is part of a larger Corporate Services organization that provides the infrastructure for every aspect of Intel's business. As a Corporate Services position, this position may need to assist from time to time with programs or duties that have no direct link to Corporate Security.



Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in law enforcement, investigations, corporate security, or similar disciplines.
4+ years of experience in Executive Protection, protection of individuals, or similar assignment.
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
International travel experience in Executive security/Personal security.
Ability to develop security plans that effectively mitigate known and/or anticipated risks to insure the safety of those being protected.
Ability to apply effective interviewing techniques and investigative principles, including logical progression, link analysis, cause and effect, and collection & preservation of evidence.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases while maintaining the standard of quality.
General knowledge of criminal laws relating to theft, fraud, threats, violence, extortion.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to build working relationships with internal and external partners, including law enforcement.
Generally proficient with computers, and comfortable working with technology.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Ability to obtain and maintain a passport.
Ability to travel nationally and internationally to all locations and countries where Intel does business, including shipping lanes.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and follow applicable Privacy laws, policies, and guidelines.
Must adhere to a strict Investigator's Code of Conduct for conducting investigations.
Ability to pass the standard pre-employment background investigation.
In addition, your integrity must be and remain above reproach.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree.
Certified Personnel Protection CPP
Certified Fraud Examiner CFE
Law enforcement experience, police officer, tactical team, etc.
Private sector investigations experience.
Formal interviewing/interrogation training.
