Job Description

A vacancy has arisen in Kabul working on an established and highly prestigious contract.

This is an immediate requirement, start date 30th July 2018, for an Armed Close Protection Officer (CPO) to work in a Diplomatic Mobile Protection Team based with the European Commission Delegation in Kabul.

Rotations are two months deployed - one month leave. 12 Month Contract. Candidates need to be flexible on rotations.

Daily rate: to be confirmed at interview. Flights are provided or funded.

Accommodation will be provided along with meals whilst in Afghanistan.

Applicants must be from the European Union member states.

The following experience must be proven:
5 years military experience.
Reasonable PSC experience, preferably in Kabul
Full EU driving licence with Category C
Armoured vehicle B6 qualification
Previous experience of Afghanistan (Kabul) advantageous
Must possess a clean criminal record certificate (CRB)
Must complete a full Medical (Minimal Risk will provide a form for completion)
Professional weapons qualification or signed document from an existing range/gun club or training records
Formal first aid qualification (FPOS(I)/FREC or MIRA) or equivalent.

Training courses for B6 armoured vehicles can be undertaken in locations in both Europe and the UK. Also weapons training and proof of competency can be undertaken at ranges in Europe and UK.

These certificates are required by the EU vetting process and all documentation is only submitted if the requirements needed above are met.

Candidates must be fluent in English (both writing and spoken) and computer literate.


You will be expected to undertake a psychometric assessment and also arrange a medical utilising Minimal Risk forms.

Qualifications

SIA CP License (UK Applicants) or Close Protection Course

B6 qualification certificate from an approved training provider. (Can be arranged in UK)
Weapons competency certificate from an approved training provider (M4 & Glock 17) can be arranged in UK
Category C or C1 EU driving licence
