Director of Security- Residential

SOS Security has an immediate opening for a Director of Security (Residential) in Northbrook, Illinois.

OUR BASIC REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
A valid Illinois Driver’s License in good standing
20 years of age and older.
Must have a Bachelors degree.
Ability to drive in all weather conditions and time periods.
Ability to work 12-16 hour shifts.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on the organization’s needs.
Must have or be willing to obtain a PERC Card & 20hr training certificate.
Must be able to pass drug screening
Must be able to pass background check

RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICERS INCLUDE:
Supervise multiple management staff members as well as client relationships.
Create and execute formal written policies as well as develop and implement strategic, operational, and financial plans.
Participate on client and/or company committees.
Understand and assess profit & loss statements, budget oversights, forecasting, and make adjustments where appropriate.
Be skilled in client relations interaction with the ability to assimilate to a variety of personality styles and environments.
Facilitate productive working relationships among peers, support staff, and other departments.
Formulate objectives, plans, and programs for the department personnel they manage, to ensure continued enhancement and new initiatives geared to improve service and security.
Ensure that the company’s financial goals and objectives are communicated effectively and achieved.
Provide for the development of subordinates and staff by mentoring, continually encouraging education and training, and by setting performance goals geared for development and a thorough understanding of the culture of the organization.
Provide consistent feedback to subordinates on performance, both for achievements and developmental opportunities.
Participate in trade and industry organizations for the purpose of personal development and demonstrating Apex3/Premier’s leadership capabilities as a premier security services provider.
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification or willingness to obtain within specified time period.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
10 years prior Security Management experience
Experience with Security Systems including but not limited to: CCTV, IP camera systems and accces control (especially CCURE 9000) preferred
