Close Protection Operative (x3) , Johannesburg

Location: Preto South Africa 

Task Description
We are looking to employ three Close Protection Agents in its permanent force to be rotated to different clients from time to time. The initial task will be for one-month based in Sandton.

Our client has interests in the mining industry and this will mainly be a corporate task with additional travels to outlying areas and when needed accommodation will be provided.

The chosen candidate will be subject to a full background check and polygraph test.



The agent will be working closely with the client and will have a driver assigned to him. The agent will make use of the client's vehicle while on duty and must have his or her own transport and laptop to provide reports.

Company  will from time to time provide the CPO with intelligence reports to assist with daily planning.

The Agent will be working 22-25 12hour shifts per month.



Duties
Purpose:

This breakdown represents the abilities and normal duties of a CPO. This will be included in a standard service level agreement.

Planning daily activities and security measures for the client(s):
Reviewing the client’s daily agenda;
assigning tasks to each member of the team; and
preparing security measures and contingency plans.
Driving employers to whatever destination they may need to visit:
Driving an armored or otherwise modified vehicle;
being able to assess vehicle malfunctions;
performing evasive maneuvers when necessary;
looking after the vehicle when the employer gets off; and
staying alert to pick up the employer when necessary.


Escorting their client(s):

Providing close protection to the principal;
preventing unidentified individuals from approaching the principal;
staying alert for possible attackers; and
escorting their client out of a potentially dangerous area


Pre-checking areas where their client will be:
Inspecting vehicles for possible explosives;
monitoring for possible snipers; and
detecting possible bugging in electronic devices.

Taking defensive armed or unarmed actions:
Using hand-to-hand combat training to protect the client;
using non-lethal weapons (e.g. pepper spray, expandable batons, or Tasers) to protect the client; and
using lethal weaponry (e.g. handguns, machine guns, or counter-sniper rifles) to protect the client.


Monitoring the environment where the client is located:
Staying in contact with the entire Bodyguard team;
reporting any suspicious activity; and
reporting the movements and whereabouts of the client.


Providing protection and evacuation opportunities to the principal:
  • On land
  • In air
  • On Sea
  • In-Vehicle Transit

Daily Tasks;
o Reviewing the client’s daily agenda.
o Carrying out and reviewing background checks of the people interacting with the client.
o Going over security measures and contingency plans.
o Planning evacuation Routes
o Inspecting vehicles for possible bugging or explosive devices.
o Escorting clients to their vehicle.
o Driving clients to their destinations taking pre-established routes and escape routes when necessary.
o Monitoring all client activities.
o Staying alert for suspicious activities and possible threats.
o Reporting all client activities and incidents.


Minimum Requirments
Matric Certificate
Grade A PSIRA
SASSETA CPO Certificate
Medical Level 3
Advanced Driving
Firearm Competency for Business Purposes
Valid PrDP (PDP)
Computer literate
Two Years Experience as a CPO
English Capable, read, write and speak
Two References
Clear Criminal Record
Own Transport
