Executive Protection Specialist

Our client, a boutique security solutions service provider, is seeking an Executive Protection Specialist (EPS) in the Washington, D.C. Metro area. The EPS will perform armed executive protection, mobile patrol, and counter surveillance activities in support of a safe and secure environment for a high-profile individual “the principal”. The EPS will provide these services in conjunction with a highly skilled and professional team to provide exceptional service to the principal.

Primary Duties:
Provide executive protection services for the principal and family members;
Conduct counter surveillance activities in the vicinity of the principal site and along travel routes;
Perform threat assessments and make recommendations for improving security procedures and the security of the principal’s environment;
Identify and report, verbally and in writing, any anomalies and/or suspicious activities in the vicinity of the principal site or along travel routes that could potentially constitute a threat;
Provide vehicular escort services to the principal and family members;
Serve as a backup to Static Officers as the mission dictates;
Act as an on-duty liaison to local law enforcement and emergency medical and fire officials as needed;
Comply with all security regulations; and
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Include:

High School Diploma; Four-year college degree preferred;
Two to five years of close protection or executive protection experience, preferably in a dignitary or diplomatic environment; or prior law enforcement experience;
Certified hazardous material response training experience preferred;
Ability to pass a background check, physical endurance and agility test, psychological exam, and other assessments as required;
Ability to meet the established physical demands required to perform the essential functions of this job;
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication (both written and oral) skills;
General computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and both Apple/Mac Operating System;
Ability to travel as required;
Valid Driver’s License; 
Armed Security Officer Certification in accordance with Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) and the Maryland Armed Security Guard Permit.
