Location Overseas - Afghanistan
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Personnel Security/Force Protection (PSFP) supporting our United States Government (USG) customer. The presence of Personnel Security/Force Protection personnel does NOT make the Contractor a Private Security Company (PSC) but is instead reflective of the inherent right to self-defense under the Laws of Armed Conflict and the Rules on the Use of Force. This position reports to the In-Country Program Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
• Provides personnel security manpower, management, and support under the direction of the customer's Base Defense Operations Cell (BDOC)
• Prepare quarterly FP and Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans
• Coordinate movement for all supported personnel (Air and ground)
• Maintain tracker for intra-theater movements so the location of all supported is known at all times
• Maintain personal arming requirements per theater guidelines
• Routinely interact with local vendors to deliver/receive documents and goods
• Experience level equivalent to GS12/NATO A3
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Current DoD SECRET clearance
• Military background with experience in Base Defense Operations, convoy operations, contingency planning, route status monitoring, and weapons qualification. These individuals shall primarily be drawn from Combat Arms MOS’s
• Possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in physical security, force protection, or combat operations
• Possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with senior leaders
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Live and work daily with the military customer in austere conditions in Afghanistan
• Function effectively and efficiently in a combat zone, during extended periods of high pressure and stress
• Ability to wear up to 45 lbs of combat gear, including vest and helmet
• Travel outside secure compounds with customer, as required
• Performs majority of work in an office environment
