Duties & Qualifications:
The Travel Executive Protection Agent is tasked with conducting close protection for the client located in Menlo Park, CA. This position is available to applicants nationwide. The Travel Executive Protection Agent will work 15 days per month with 2 travel days, in/out of the client location in Menlo Park, CA. This position does not require relocation, applicants may live anywhere in the US; all travel expenses are covered by the client. This role will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality support directly to the client and staff, as well as safeguarding client assets. Agents must work independently on projects, from conception to completion. Executive Protection Agents are expected to competently respond to any situation that may arise while supporting the client. We are looking for protection professionals with a high level of emotional intelligence.
Protective Agents are often directed to work overtime (OT), nights, holidays and weekends and often travel domestically and overseas. Applicants should be in good overall physical, mental and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be willing to work long hours with ever-changing schedules.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully negotiate conflict and remain flexible is a must. Protective Agents must possess the ability to interact with all levels of corporation management, liaison internally and externally with a multitude of other departments and personnel. Strong oral communication and representational skills. Candidates must be able to brief, defend, persuade and instruct others on security requirements and policies. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and organizational skills and the ability to write in a clear and precise manner are also required.
Provide covert and overt executive protection to the designated principal(s)
Frequent (30-50%) Domestic/International travel
Work within a cross-functional team
Report to the executive protection management team
Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
Conduct all facets of protective duties
Follow and enhance the directed SOP
Conducts ongoing threat, risk and vulnerability assessments
Conducts protective advance operations
Operates motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner
Job Requirements:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree preferred. Be physically fit and possess a valid driver's license. Extensive military, corporate security or law enforcement experience, preferably in a military special operations branch, protective operations with a minimum of 5 years combined experience. Applicant should possess excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills, have high levels of integrity, and trustworthiness.
A graduate of a reputable executive protection training school desired
California Guard Card and CPR Certification
Experience and understanding of corporate culture
Extensive medial experience (EMT, First Responder, 18D, Paramedic, Navy Corpsman) desired
Experience with after action report writing
Leadership and management experience desired
Experience working with C-Suite level executives or equivalent
Strong base knowledge in all facets of protective operations
Advanced understanding of technology-based protective applications
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
Will maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance
Must successfully pass the ASNA Physical Fitness Test
Ability to work nights and weekends as required
Possess a valid driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits:
$90,000 annual retainer: 15 work days per month
